Content Delivery Mechanism for ISP
نویسندگان
چکیده
Most CDNs pay more attention to CSP (Content Service Provider) to gain more profit from faster access rate and lower server load. However they ignore that the CDNs pay the ISPs (Internet Service Provider) for using the underlying networks based on the traffic volume generated by CDN servers. ISPs expect to save their operational cost from inter-ISP traffic and improve the QoS (Quality of Service) as well. In this paper, we propose novel decentralized content delivery architecture, ISP Manage Content Delivery Network (IMCDN). For more effectively improving the performance of IMCDN, we propose a cooperative dynamic caching strategy based on the dleft Record Counters Bloom Filter (dlRCBF). We use the dl-RCBF to improve the remote hit rate and adopt optimistic synchronization to restrict the broadcast traffic. The experiments show that our dynamic caching strategy outperforms state-of-the-art models in hit rate for multiple cache sizes and inter-ISP traffic reduction.

Usage of Incremental Provider-aided Distance Information System to Improve User Assignment from a Performance Perspective for Content-Delivery Networks (CDNs)
This paper looks at Content-delivery networks (CDNs) originate a large fraction of Internet traffic; yet, due to how CDNs often perform traffic optimization, users aren't always assigned to the best servers for end-user performance and, in particular, suggests Provider-aided Distance Information System (PaDIS), which is a mechanism to rank client-host pairs based upon information such as RTT, b...
متن کاملDynamic Flow Scheduling Strategy in Multihoming Video CDNs
Multihoming for a video Content Delivery Network (CDN) allows edge peering servers to deliver video chunks through different Internet Service Providers (ISPs), to achieve an improved quality of service (QoS) for video streaming users. However, since traditional strategies for a multihoming video CDN are simply designed according to static rules, e.g., simply sending traffic via a ISP which is t...

متن کاملMulti-ISP Cooperative Cache Sharing for Saving Inter-ISP Transit Cost in Content Centric Networking
Content-Centric Networking (CCN) has an in-network caching mechanism, which can reduce the traffic volume along the route to the destination host. This traffic volume reduction on the transit link can decrease inter-ISP transit cost. However, the memory space for caching in CCN routers is small relative to content volume. In addition, any initial access to the content requested by a user must u...
متن کاملUsage-based Traffic Control for P2P Content Delivery
Recently, content delivery services have grown rapidly over the Internet. For ASPs (Application Service Provider) providing content delivery services, P2P architecture is beneficial to reduce outgoing traffic from content servers. On the other hand, ISPs are suffering from the increase in P2P traffic. The P2P traffic is unnecessarily redundant because the same content or the same fractions of c...
